Cheap Lee Valley 12-Shelf Larder Unit

This 12-shelf unit (six door-mounted) makes excellent use of a small volume.

Mounted in a cabinet (free standing or built in) 20″ deep, and an interior width of at least 16 1/4″, it has a sliding shelf rack linked to the cabinet door. As the door is opened, the rear set of shelves slides forward by 5″ for easier access.

Door-mounted shelves have a usable area of 12″ × 5 1/4″, while the rear shelves have a usable area of 13 1/2″ × 11 1/4″. All shelves have an overall height just over 3″, and can be spaced variably (in 2″ increments).

The rear frame adjusts in height from 69 1/2″ to 81 1/2″. All frames have a gray epoxy coating, and all shelves are chrome plated.

Weight capacity is 11 lb per inner basket, to a maximum of 130 lb for the entire unit. Weight capacity of the door-mounted shelves depends on the hinges used to support the door and the screws used to fasten the frame to the door.
