These four-sided square sockets come with a socket adapter. The 1/2″ socket is for 3/8″ and 7/16″ dowel; the 5/8″ socket is for 1/2″ dowel. Both have a 3/8″ square-drive end. The socket adapter has a 1/4″ hex shank.
